Care instructions
  1. Let the pan cool before washing.
  2. Wash with warm water and a soft sponge; avoid harsh abrasives on the hammered finish.
  3. Dry immediately and completely.
  4. Dishwasher-safe, though washing by hand keeps the hammered finish at its best.
  5. Golden or blue heat tints are harmless; a little white vinegar on a soft sponge removes them.

The problem

Why non-stick pans don't last.

The coating wears off with use. Then it scratches, sticks and peels.

  • A non-stick pan covered in scratches

    It scratches easily

One metal spatula or scouring pad and the surface is marked for good. Every scratch weakens the coating.

  • Chicken burnt and stuck to a worn non-stick pan

    Food sticks and burns

Once the coating is worn, food sticks, burns unevenly and leaves residue that is hard to wash off.

  • A non-stick pan with its coating peeled away in the centre

    The coating peels off

After a few months, the non-stick layer starts to flake. Those flakes end up in your food.

What to observe

Hammered surface

Look at how side light breaks across the facets. The texture is part of the metal, not a printed pattern or a coating.

The pan I hand my cooks

Even heat across the whole surface, and it holds temperature when the fish goes in. Preheat, a little oil, and the skin lets go on its own.

    Eggs slid right out

Just received my 28 cm pan. Two over-easy eggs slid straight out on the first try. Cleanup took a minute.

    Light, but built to last

Lighter than my stainless pans and beautiful on the stove. The 50-year warranty is what sold me.

“Eggs slide right out once you preheat properly. It took me two tries to get the hang of it, and now it's the pan I reach for every morning.”

    “鎚目の仕上げは、実物のほうがさらに美しいです。手に持つと軽いのに、しっかりしていて、まさに本物の道具という感じです。”

The hammered finish is even more beautiful in person. Light in the hand but it feels solid, like a real tool.

  • A ribeye steak searing with rosemary in the titanium pan

    Rated 5 out of 5

“Better crust on a ribeye than my old cast iron, at half the weight. Cleanup was warm water and a sponge.”

  • Pan-fried gyoza with golden bottoms in the titanium pan

    Rated 4 out of 5

“Perfect crispy gyoza. Food sticks a little if you rush the preheat, but that's true of any pan without a coating.”

“Beautiful craftsmanship, and it heats evenly. My only small gripe: the handle gets warm on long cooks.”

Thirty years cooking in restaurants taught me to cook slowly. This pan holds its heat beautifully: the fish skin crisps evenly without rushing.

KAJI: Nothing can flake off. Not now, not ever.Ordinary non-stick pans: It flakes off — straight into your eggs.
Scratches
KAJI: A scratch is just a scratch. Still titanium.Ordinary non-stick pans: One scratch and you’re cooking on bare metal.

Questions

Before you order.

Is it free of PFAS, PTFE and PFOA?

Yes. There is no coating on the cooking surface, so there is no PFAS, PTFE (Teflon) or PFOA, and nothing to flake into your food.

How do I clean it? Is it dishwasher-safe?

Yes, it's dishwasher-safe. Washing by hand keeps the hammered finish at its best: let it cool, then warm water, a soft sponge, and dry fully.

Which stovetops are compatible?

Compatible with gas, electric coil, ceramic / glass and induction stovetops.

What are the dimensions and weight?

Three sizes: 24 cm (9.4 in), 28 cm (11 in) and 32 cm (12.6 in) across the top. Titanium is about 45% lighter than steel, so even the largest pan stays easy to lift and toss.

What is your return policy?

You can return your order within 100 days of delivery. Cook with it for up to 100 days. If you don't love it, send it back for a full refund.

What does the warranty cover?

The warranty runs for 50 years. It covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal household use; a defective pan is repaired or replaced free of charge. It does not cover normal wear, heat tints and discoloration, cosmetic scratches, and damage from misuse, accidents or commercial use.
